Laser Surgery & Laser Therapy
We are proud to offer the unique care for our patients that can only come from the advanced methods of laser technology.
Laser surgery is an option for most of our surgical patients as an alternative to the scalpel blade. In fact, this procedure has been so successful that we now declaw our feline patients using only the laser.
Laser therapy is an alternative treatment option that has the potential to replace certain pain medications for chronic illnesses such as arthritis. For most cases a series of 5-10 minute treatments are recommended over the course of several weeks.

"I have two older dogs: Annie, who is 15, and Lucy, who is 13. Their quality of life had diminished, and it was getting harder for them to get up and go on walks. They still showed major excitement when they saw the leash, so I knew they still had a zest for life.
On October 21, they each had their sixth laser therapy treatment.
I saw a marked improvement in Lucy – she was able to walk and rise more quickly. Annie could always move faster than Lucy but had problems rising. I believe there have been less problems getting up, and she does not need the prednisone as often. I will continue to monitor her.
Also, I WILL continue the laser therapy. It will not need to be as often, and I feel it improves their senior years! I only hope someone takes me for laser therapy when I reach 15 in dog years."
